Potassium fluoroaluminate is usually a white or light gray powder. It is slightly soluble in water. When reacting with water above 730℃, it releases hydrogen fluoride. It slowly dissolves in strong acids and releases hydrogen fluoride. It is stable in nature, but incompatible with strong oxidants and may be sensitive to moisture.

Product Usage

Potassium Fluoroaluminate plays a significant role in multiple fields: In the welding field, as a brazing flux for aluminum, aluminum alloys and stainless steel, it can effectively remove oxides from the metal surface and promote the wetting and bonding between the brazing filler metal and the base metal. In the manufacturing of aluminum alloys, it serves as a degassing agent and flux, helping to remove gases and impurities from the alloy and improve the quality of the aluminum alloy.
